The school has classes from L.K.G. to Standard XII. It is a boarding cum day school. It has a strength of above 1200 students. The school follows the Tamilnadu Anglo Indian Board from classes I to X and follows the Tamilnadu state government syllabus in classes XI and XII. The academic year , in accordance with all the Anglo Indian schools in Tamilnadu is from June to April.

a) Class Rooms
The facilities available are conductive to academic pursuits. The school has big, airy and fully furnished class rooms
The library is well furnished and has a varied collection of rich books in all disciplines. Children are encouraged to visit the library during their leisure time to enhance their knowledge.
c) Laboratories
The biology, chemistry and the physics laboratories are well equipped with the latest specimens and equipments. The computer laboratory has 60 modern computers with two 5KVA UPS that supports 30 systems for more than 2 hrs with the batteries.
All the major meetings are held in the conference Hall. It also serves as an E- Learning class room for all the subjects. It is equipped with a 24hrs high speed internet services to help the teachers update themselves and the children with the latest happenings.
e) Auditorium 2000
One of the best auditoriums with an inbuilt capacity of more than 1000 seats. It also has a gymnasium, indoor basket ball, table tennis and shuttle badminton courts and also a skating area.
In an exemplary display of compassion the Out Reach Programme of St. Joseph's has been reaching out to the poor and less fortunates. Students have been contributing generously towards this programme.

The highlight of the Out Reach programme was in 2009 when the people, who were badly affected by tge devastating rain on 9th Nov 2009., were reached out, by providing warm clothes and distributing rice and other grocery items. This year, the Out Reach Committee had decided to build a house for a domestic worker, Every year the Outreach Programme is gaining momentum by the interest and generosity shown by every Josephite and it will reach to greater height in the coming years.
