Rules for Boarders
- The school wishes to inform the parents that every school is basically a democratic Institution and observes no protocol and no preferential treatment. You visit the school at the appointed time as parents only and not as somebody who holds a place of power and authority in society. We wish to get your willing co-operation in this regard.
- If for your own reason or for any other reason, a boarder is not returning to the boarding and school for the next academic year 2023-2024, the parents are requested to inform the Principal through a registered letter by 30th January 2023.
- Your ward’s candidature as an old boarder for re-admission to Class XI and all the privileges thereof, cannot be availed, if admission is not confirmed in time. In case you approach on a later date for admission, your ward will be treated as one among the new applicants for admission.
- Students coming from States other than Tamil Nadu will have to have a local guardian either in Tamil Nadu, (preferably in the Nilgiris District) or in the neighbouring State.
- Parents are requested to follow the holiday rules strictly. On other days, parents / guardians will not be permitted to see their wards.
- A medical fitness certificate has to be submitted. Please mention if the boy has had any major sickness in the past.
- Students coming from abroad, must submit their passport to the Boarding office by 15th June.
- Please restrict sending letters and parcels by courier to the minimum, unless absolutely urgent. You are requested not to send money and other valuable/big items by courier. If sent, it will be at your own risk.
- Boarders are not permitted to have in their possession, electronic gadgets, mobile phones and gold ornaments. If they are found to be in possession of the same, the articles will be confiscated. Payment of a fine and other disciplinary action will also be taken.
- All parents are requested to restrict telephone calls to be minimum, unless absolutely necessary and urgent. In case of emergencies, messages can be conveyed to the boarding or school office, which will be conveyed to the boys. You are free to make use of the fax facility. Those messages will be handed over to the students at the earliest.
- Ragging is prohibited as per the decision of the Supreme Court of India in writ petition No.(V) 656/1998. If an incident of ragging comes to the notice of the concerned authority, the accused student will be given an opportunity to explain and if the explanation is not satisfactory, the authority will expel him from the Institution.
